Kia ora—thanks for visiting. I’m Joseph: husband, dad, and local church pastor. I’m convinced that the good news of the gospel is always better than we’ve just realised. I love nothing more than exploring this reality and its implications for everyday life, local churches, pastors and leaders. It often feels paradoxical and upside-down, and yet, Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life has captured imaginations for two millennia and is an invitation into all that is good, true and beautiful - fullness of life!
He who knows the mystery of the cross and tomb, also knows the essential principles of all things.

Sunday in and Sunday out, my primary ministry vocation is as a local church pastor at St Luke’s Church in Tauranga. At St Luke’s we seek to fuse together the charismatic and the contemplative, the contemporary and the traditional. It’s one of the great joys and privileges of my life to be a part of this wonderful community. Here my focus is preaching and teaching, pastoral care, and encouraging people in their faith.
Professional Supervisor
In professional supervision, we’ll form a pastoral collaboration designed to help you navigate the complexities of ministry, develop emotional capacity, and cultivate holistic well-being. Together, we’ll explore strategic possibilities, theological perspectives, and engage in reflective learning—all with the aim of reducing overwhelm, fostering sustainable ministry rhythms, and equipping for the journey.
Teacher
I’m a passionate life-long learner who loves to see the hearts, minds, and faith of others come alive as they grow in their faith journey. With this in mind, I’ve coordinated a Master’s Cohort with Alphacrucis College for pastors and leaders. Here, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry, can be completed.
As well, I’ve a limited capacity to minister in local churches, preaching and teaching, and working with pastors, leadership teams, and church boards.
